Just one quick announcement......

We're ENGAGED!! YES... Shane and I are about to embark on life's most amazing adventure. It has been an amazing 5 months all together, and I know I couldn't live another day without him. I know I will be far from "home" but I am anxious and excited to start a home and family with someone I love and adore so much. Shane's family has been SOOOO amazing to me, I couldn't ask for better future in laws. Even since the first day Shane took me over there in November I have felt at home. It is a huge step for the both of us, but we couldn't be happier. So here's how it went down... It was a stormy day (of course) but we decided to make a day of it. We went to a place called Table Rock, up in the mountains here. Since we are avid patch collectors, we thought it would be a good day to add to our collection. We walked around there for a few minutes, then decided to take the drive up to Cezars Head. The fog was so thick we couldn't see 10 feet in front of us, but we kept driving. Once we reached the top we went inside, got our patch, and decided to walk to the look out point. We weren't shocked to see that there really wasn't much to see due to the fog, but we were still enjoying every second of it. The rain started to come down softly as we were taking pictures and we decided that it was time for us to take the last picture and head out before we got soaked. Shane set up self timer on the camera and ran a few feet knowing he had only ten seconds to get situated. Right as the last beep beeped, he pulled from his pocket the most amazingly beautiful diamond ring I have ever seen. CLICK... The picture was taken, I was weak in my knees, and Shane said, " WILL YOU MARRY ME?" I grabbed him, shocked that this moment was actually happening and hugged him tighter than I ever have. I sat in silence trying to take in the excitement and hugged the heck out of him, when he said, "Well you have to say something...?" We laughed and with the little bit of breath I had in me I said yes. We then started talking and hugging and the rain came down more soaking us from head to toe. We then ran back to the car as fast as we could and enjoyed the rest of the day, and our patches together. I will admit, the rainy days are our favorite days!! I love my future husband with all my heart and cannot wait to spend the rest of this life, as well as eternity with him.

love rainy days!

I always have loved rainy days, I love to say inside and cuddle, but last Saturday was a little different. After sitting and wondering what we could do to cure our boredom, Shane came up with the bright idea of going to Congree National Forest. I was sceptical at first, but we got on our rain gear and headed down. It stopped raining for a bit, and we had a blast just going on the boardwalk nature hike. It was a good way to get out, and not spend any money. Now we have some brand new patches, and a new favorite place to go on rainy days. :)

my first visitor!!!

Hey ya'll , I though it was about time I blogged. Life here in the south has been more busy than I though it would be. I am working full time for an Endodontist here in Columbia, and I love my job. I am so lucky to have found one especially with the economy the way it is. Finding jobs here in SC seem harder than they are to find in Utah right now. In the midts of all the hustle and bustle I am happy to say that I had my first visitor. Mel, my old roommate came to spend the weekend with me last week and we had a blast. The trip started out with a four hour drive with charly in the passenger seat to Raleigh to pick her up. Flights there are cheaper, but let me tell you, the drive is kinda a joke. Well we drove home and the fun began. In one weekend we made it to the beach, Charleston, and around Columbia a time or two. I would have to say (with the help of shane) Im turning into a pretty good tour guide, so if your interested ... come on down to the dirty south and be my guest!! :)

The first pic of Charly

Meet Charly. She is the newest addition to my life here and we love her so much. We really lucked out finding her, she comes from a very strong line of Great labs, and we can already tell by the way she obeys at such a young age. We have almost already gotten her trained, and we are very proud of our little pup. Come visit SOOn, not only cause I miss everyone, but so that you can meet our new pup Charly. Her first bath

where do i begin... IM HERE!

Wow.. i dont even know where to start. Im here and we made it safe and sound. There were a couple road bumps along the way (sun and sands motel) but we made it through. I was a little scared to come, but the second Shane attempted to leave, I was ready! Shanes flights were delayed because of the snow, and he got sent to denver and trapped there, so I told him to catch his next flight back to Utah.. that I wouldnt chicken out this time. I held to my promise and the next day, we were gone......Finally after Two days
I have finished uploading pics. These are all from our road trip, and there are more to come of us here in South Carolina. This is us saying adios to utah... and the rest is downhill.
